Body is a short (Like, 582 words short) conversation between a person and their Body. Made for O2A2 VN Jam 2023 ~ Queer Edition ~, this is just a little project to help me get more experience completing games.

This game contains the portrayal of body image issues, as well as very light internalized transphobia and ableism.

I have a lot of feelings about this game and they're all difficult to put into words. So I'll just say I think it's very well done and I'll be thinking about it for a while.

this is such a good game!! as someone who experiences/has experienced all of these thoughts it hit very close to home, but in a way that felt relatable and in turn comforting i think? i like the dialogue between the person and their body and the themes of trying to come to acceptance even though it's hard. the art is also gorgeous!! thank you for this game!!

This little game made me feel a lot of things. As someone who's had similar thoughts about their own body and not liking to look at it or feel it or live in it... I could relate to a lot of the thoughts of the MC. I also really enjoyed the aesthetic and art. The use of the limited color palette was lovely, and the single art with just the mirror and the MC helped to emphasize the kind of... mmm... I'm not sure, lost feeling of everything? Which goes well with the choices of trying to work through our own thoughts. Trying to face our thoughts. Not being able to push back against our thoughts.

Mmm. I'm having a hard time putting a lot of my feelings into words, but I enjoyed this a lot, despite the feelings it drummed up. It was really well done, especially for a first game??? Despite its shortness it feels very polished and poignant. 💕
